Kent's mom and stepdad
They died just two weeks apart last month and have joined Kent in heaven, I can just imagine the talking, laughing and hugging that has been nonstop since Ruth headed to heaven on October 10 and our step dad Gerald on October 23. He had been in the final stages of Lou Gehrigs disease, but her death was a surprise, a sudden heart attack. It was God's blessing that it happened this way, we will miss them here on earth, but I am relieved, she can finally ask Kent all those questions about why he went to heaven first.
One more day . . .
Many of you have probably read the popular book, One More Day . . . .its a story about a man who dreams he has one more day with a loved one . . . and what would you would choose to do.
If I had one more day with Kent it would have been Rebekah and Joshua''s wedding day. He would have LOVED it. . . . an Irish themed wedding set in the mountains of NW Washington on August 18, the most beautiful weather, setting, friends and family. He loved people so much and seeing his daughter marry the most wonderful young man would have delighted him . . . we know he was enjoying it all from heaven, but did we ever miss his wisdom, his smile and bear hugs!
WE are all doing fine in the northwest . . . Drew, Katie, Fiona and Keegan in Monroe, Rebekah, Joshua and I in Seattle, Rachel in Tacoma at UPS and Sarah in Minneapolis. We will all be together for Thanksgiving in Seattle, celebrating the first Britten-O'Halloran reunion. Every time we are all together or hiking and viewing the mountains, I think about how much Kent would love living out here. We miss him so much
His wife, Bonnie
