This picture of Dad, his brother Jerry and good friend Doc was taken on our way out to spend a week paddling around the Boundary Waters/Quateco Wilderness area in northern Minnesota. My cousins and sibling and I had a great time spending a week in the wilderness with these guys every summer while we were in high school. I will never forget what a great bonding experience those times provided. I hope to bring my own kids back there some day.

A picture is worth 1,000 words
I was looking at some old pictures of Dad today, thinking about how much I miss him. I decided that I should post a few of the ones which have interesting stories behind them. Starting today, I plan to post about a picture a week of my Dad, along with the story behind it. Please add comments about your memories of Kent that you may be reminded of.

How did 4 years go by?

It has been 4 years now since we lost Dad, but it still seems like just yesterday that he and Mom drove up to La Crosse for Fiona's first and only beauty contest. We still miss him every day, but he lives on in all of us, and I know he is keeping a close eye on his grand kids from heaven.
I thought today would be a good opportunity to post a photo album of all our memories of Kent. Please spend some time remembering the moments captured in the photos at the link below. These are the same pictures that were shown at his celebration of life service in 2005.
