Dad and Fiona taken the Sunday before he died. He was such a proud Grandpa. My heart aches that she will never know her Grandpa but what a blessing that he was able to know her. Posted by Hello

Hello all,

Jamie's husband Steve here. I was so sad to learn that Kent had passed on...but I also knew that he was headed onward and upward to better things. I can only imagine that his personal sense of loss at being separated from his family was only overshadowed by his delight at entering Heaven. Kent was one of my favorite "Bob's side of the family" relatives. He always knew exactly what to say to brighten my mood when I talked with him. I know it is true that he has lightened up Heaven with his soul! Hang tight gang...I know it is tough. If you all ever need an ear to listen, give me a call. You can reach me at either of the numbers listed below. God Bless!

Dearest Brittens:

How we have loved knowing all of you for many years of our lives! We remember when it was just us two couples to start our first Bible study at the Wesleyan Church. Our group grew and we had such special times. As you may remember, we had some very difficult years with our oldest son Johnathan. We just couldn't communicate with him and were very fearful for what he might do. It was Kent that went to that small basement apartment to check on him and try to talk to him. Kent was the only friend we had that would take on such a task--and it was such a comfort to us. What a true friend he has always been. And another thing--everytime we would get together long after you moved away from Greeley it has always been so easy to see you because our friendship just picked up where it left off--you are all dear to us, but it brings us grief to think of not seeing Kent again (until Heaven that is).

Since we have just become grandparents with Jeremy and Jessie's little one and we know what a great joy this is for us, we are so happy that Kent had this pleasure of beautiful little Fiona. It is sad that she won't have him to play with and share with--but nevertheless, we know what extreme happiness this baby gave him!
